The Covid regulations in Austria are now that you have to have proof of a coronavirus vaccination or recovery from an infection with SARS-CoV-2 to stay at hotels or apartments. You also have to have proof of a coronavirus vaccination or recovery from an infection with SARS-CoV-2 to go skiing (to buy a lift card). A test alone is not valid.
When you arrive at Haus Karoline we have to see your Covid certificate or other proof of a coronavirus vaccination or recovery from an infection with SARS-CoV-2. Please note that we cannot let you stay at Haus Karoline without a valid Covid certificate.
Children younger than 12 years do not have to have a Covid certificate. Schoolchildren between 12 and 15 years have to have proof of a coronavirus vaccination, recovery from an infection with SARS-CoV-2, or a negative PCR-test result. PCR-testing will be available for free in the Achensee Region.
In the staircase and ski storage we all have to wear FFP2-masks.
All our apartments are smoke-free. It is allowed to smoke on the balcony.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in: The apartment is available from 16 pm. Please let us know if you arrive later than 20 pm.
Check-out: 8 am - 10 am.
The price includes all running costs (electricity, water, heating) bed linen, towels and tea towels. Dishwasher tablets, dishwashing detergent, coffee filter and toilet paper are also included. Not included in the price is the cleaning fee and visitors tax.
It is possible to pay in cash, bank transfer or with debet/credit card (Maestro, Visa, Mastercard).
Wi-Fi is free. On arrival you become username and password.
Baby bed (travel cot) and high chair are available for free.
Washing machine and dryer in the basement are available on request. Costs per washing € 5,00.
Fresh rolls delivery
In the morning we deliver fresh rolls or any kind of bread from the local bakery in Achenkirch directly to your apartment door.
There is a small SPAR-supermarket with everything you need on the ground floor of Haus Karoline.
We also highly recommend the local butcher shop Metzgerei Mair and the local bakery Bäckerei Adler.
There are many restaurants within a 10-minute walk. We recommend Sportpension Geisler, Restaurant SeeEck, Fischerwirt, Zillertaler Hof, Martins Bistro...
Dogs are very welcome at Haus Karoline. Going up and down the stairways they have to be leashed.
Please notice that in the whole Achensee Region dogs have to be leashed. On busses, the ferry boats and on the cable cars our four legged friends have to wear a secure muzzle. At the lake there is a special off-leash area for dogs.

Bicycles & mountain bikes
In the garden we have a shed for mountain bikes and bicycles. You can also take your bicycle into the locked basement.
You are welcome to take one of the Haus Karoline Toboggans for an afternoon. Take the kids out for at walk on the winter hiking trails or go for a fun toboggan run down the Christlum after skiing.
With your visitor card, the AchenseeCard, wich you recieve by arrival, you can use public transport for free in the whole Achensee region, the cross-country tracks in the Karwendel Valley in Pertisau are free and you can also enjoy exclusive bonus services and special offers around the lake.
From May to October you can buy the Achensee Holiday Card directly at Haus Karoline. You can either book it in advance or buy it during your stay.
Tour the mountains with the Rofan cable car in Maurach and the Karwendel cable car in Pertisau, cruise Tirol’s largest lake with the ships of the Achenseeschiffahrt, go on a journey through time at the Achensee Museum World in Maurach, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, at the Sixenhof museum of local history in Achenkirch, at the Vitalberg Tiroler Steinöl Museum in Pertisau or the Notburga Museum in Maurach.
The Achensee Holiday Card begins the first day it is scanned and is valid for the next seven days.
